The Caramel Brownie offers a long 39g stick of Lindt milk chocolate filled with a layer of gooey caramel, a rich brownie crème, and a smattering of dark biscuit pieces.
Lindt chocolate balls are a regular fixture on my mouth around Christmas time and on other occasions where a gift for the person you can’t think of what else to get them takes place. The individually packaged balls and general decadence of the product stops Lindt chocolates from being anything more than a special occasion treat.
Lindt have clearly recognised this with the recent launch of their “Hello My Name Is…” line of chocolate blocks and sticks. These offer the exact same gooey texture as a Lindt ball, only flat and packaged in a less ostentatious manner.
The “Hello My Name Is… Caramel Brownie” is really rather delicious, but is far from substantial. Much like the Lindt balls, it’s easy to eat a couple without really feeling that you’ve eaten anything at all. The only sign telling you to stop is the sickly sweet taste one gets after you reach that third ball. The Caramel Brownie has that exact same sensation.
The Caramel Brownie offers a long 39g stick (comprised of smaller bites as you’d find on any chocolate block) of Lindt milk chocolate filled with a layer of gooey caramel, a rich brownie crème, and a smattering of dark biscuit pieces. It’s very easy to eat one of these in just a few moments. The only thing at the end telling you that you don’t want another is that sickly sweet aftertaste.
If an elongated Lindt ball is what’s missing from your life, you’ll love these. They’re perfect for the sort of person who can have just a single scoop of ice-cream and be satisfied.
