Out of the gate your expectations about what a Ritz cracker should be are shattered. The familiar circular shape of the famous salty cracker has been transformed into a rectangle. Is everything about this cracker going to be a surprise?
Well, not quite everything.
The delicate, buttery texture of the original Ritz is thankfully in check, but you’re in for a whole extra level of flavour explosiveness the minute this thing crumbles in your mouth. The bacon flavour is extra smoky and intense, whatever black magic is at work to make this happen (I doubt it is the 0.1% of ‘real bacon’) I don’t need to know. I just need to know where to get more of them.
Just eating the cracker plain for flavour purity, I cannot even imagine the delights of teaming the cracker with, say, a French Onion dip, but I don’t think it will be that long until I have conclusive evidence of this combination.
